Came Up roses

Silhouettes couples holding hands.

She gleamed and shined like the moonlit windowpane,

Of love & life, she knew well

But, it was all restrained.

He took her hand, she came up roses,

She couldn’t rattle anymore with disguise.

A dreamer he was, but a lucid one,

He had loved and he dared again.

Their extrovert eyes gathered a thousand words,

They talked dusk through dawn.

His offbeat style, her lucida smile,

And the numbness was long gone.
